The retreat is open to boys and girls in scouting from Cub Scouts and Brownies to Boy Scouts, Girl Scout Cadets, and Adventure Crew. The cost is $10 per scout.

The scout retreats begins at 8:30 a.m., and includes interactive presentations for older scouts and games, crafts, and presentations for younger scouts, and an Adult Emblem Counselor Training program for Ad Altare Dei, Pope Pius XII, Marian Medal, and Spirit Alive counselors and facilitators for the National Catholic Leadership Development course, the pre-requisite for the Adult Catholic Religious Awards (formerly the Scout Development course).

Participants will need to dress for outdoor activities and bring a bag lunch.

The retreat will conclude with Mass at 4:15 pm, ending at 5:15 p.m.

In preparation for the retreat, it’s recommended that participating scouts perform an act of mercy, such as preparing a gift box for distribution to Catholic Charities. The shoebox sized gift box can include personal hygiene items such as toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, body wash, shampoo, and deodorant. Boxes should be left unwrapped or have only the cover wrapped.
